Blog Post of the Day:
What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Do you have any traditions? Go in to detail about your plans for the 5 day weekend.

This weekend I'm going to my uncle's house for thanksgiving and he lives in Oklahoma.  Our traditions on thanksgiving is eat a lot and make sure that you get fat, and make sure that there are yams and marshmallows there, also.  When I get home i will probably make a video for my YouTube channel, because I haven't made one in a few months.

Reflecting on the comments and grade of your stop-motion animation... what you would do differently if you had to do it all over again? Would you manage your time better? Find better lighting for your photos? Come up with a better idea? Explain what you would change about your video.

If I could redo my project then I would just try to stabilize the camera more than I already did, and i would wait and get them to be less blurry so the camera can focus, and I would get better lighting than I already had.  The scores that people gave me were out of 17 scores, 7 were 5/5, 7 were 4/5, and 3 were 3/5, and the main problem that they said was the camera was jumpy, but overall based on those scores, I think I did pretty well.

Tell me about your weekend.

Over the weekend I practiced driving with my mom and drove around some neighborhoods and on some main streets, and this is only my 5th time driving, so I was a little nervous, but I do like driving, because it can be fun sometimes and I  hope that I can practice driving again this weekend.

Tell me about your experience with taking your stop-motion photos. What problems did you run in to? What did you find difficult about the process? What would you go back and change about HOW you took the photos? Explain yourself.

The only problems I had about my animation was that the Legos sometimes fell apart and I had to rebuild some of the spots.  Other problems were that I had my fingers in some of the shots and had to crop them out.  Those are the pictures that I would retake.

What is stop motion animation? If you don't know, look it up! Explain.

Stop motion animation is an animation that is just a bunch of pictures that are around 30 frames a second so it seems like it is a video to ours eyes, and it is most of the time hand drawn pictures, and sometimes it is claymation also, or it can be any physical object that is just in animation

Tell me about your idea for your 5 frame story board. What is the plot? How do you plan to make the story creative? Who's the main character? What is the beginning, middle and end? Tell me about your plan of attack.

My five frame story is about an evening, and it shows what I do when I get home from school.  It starts with me getting home from school and ends with me sleeping, and I'm the main character.

Yesterday you edited and uploaded photos to your blog. Tell me more about your photos. HOW did you edit them? Why did you choose the photos that you did? Explain your assignment.

I took photos around the school and used Photo Shop to edit them and make it "pop out" more, i used a brighten and darken feature that Photo Shop had and an enhance the pictures and make them more colorful, like the bricks and the black and gold emblem.

Blog Post of the Day:
Tell me about your weekend - details please!

Over the weekend I got my drivers permit at the dead mall and it was a very easy 25 question paper test and I only missed two questions, it was extremely easy but I thought it would be on the computer.  So far I am really nervous when I'm in the driver's seat, but I hope I'll get used to it.

What do you know about photography and/or photo editing? Do you take photos? How do you take photos? Do you edit photos before posting them on social media? How do you edit them? Explain any background or knowledge you have about photography and photo editing. Do you like it? Do you have any interest?

I have never done and photography for social media or any photo editing, I've only done video editing, and I don't even own photo shop.

This weekend on Friday I went over to my sister's and her boyfriend'sand we had dinner and we "partied" until around midnight, and we were playing board games like taboo and apples to apples, and when there weren't enough spots some of us played Call of Duty or Skyrim, or Battlefield.

Below is a letter written to the editor who wrote the article 'Enforcement of dress code creates negative effect' that your blogged about last week. Most of you wrote on your blog that you agreed with the writer. What are your thoughts after reading the letter below and seeing a different perspective. Are they the same? Are the different? Do you agree? Disagree? Explain yourself.
I agree that there are certain cloths for certain times like Mrs. Scheuerman says and that there should be a little dress code.  I still think that our dress code is better because it is still letting people be more free on what they wear than most other schools do already.

I would be in math classes, science classes, (but not biology, do we really need to know how plant cells work?)  normal ELA, like what I am taking now, and all other classes that I am taking right now.  I would spend my time wisely in those classes and not blow it off, (not like I do that now).

What did you do this weekend? Share pictures if you have them!

Over the weekend I played  The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.  Skyrim is an open world RPG game that lets you explore the world and kill dragons that are attacking towns and cities.  The time in the game is around the mid evil age.  it is very fun, and also there are a lot of side quests as well as the normal story.

The following article was in the September issue of The Tiger Print. Read the article (even if you already have) and respond to it below. What do you think? Do you agree? Disagree? Consider all perspectives of the article while you respond.

I think that the thumb rule should not be broken because Blue Valley already made the rule less harsh by making it the thumb rule instead of the hand rule or whatever.  I disagree with the article, but at the same time agree with it.  People should wear what they want, but not "distract" other people.

Tell me about your weekend! If you don't have anything fun to share, tell me about the city you live in. What do you love about Kansas City? Do you have a favorite place in the city? Favorite team? :) Favorite event? Explain.

Over the weekend I went and saw the movie The Maze Runner and it is about some kids in the middle of a maze and they have to escape, but the maze is full of deathly creatures that sting you and they try to survive on what the people that put them there give them.

What is an infographic? If you don't know, go look it up. Read about it and then in your own words tell me what an infographic is. What do infographics do? How do they work? What makes a really good infographic?

Infographics are graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge intended to present complex information quickly and clearly.  They are like charts that present very complex information.  They use bar graphs, pie charts, and line graphs, and that makes a good infographic.

Tell me about your Homecoming weekend! If you didn't participate in the Homecoming festivities, what did you do? Share pics!

This weekend I went to Worlds of Fun with my friend Marcus, and we had fun riding all the rides, and we rode the new one, also.  The new one is called Steel Hawk, and it is a pillar that goes as high as the Mamba (which we also rode) and it spins you in circles letting you see the whole park.

Imagine Mr. Bacon has asked you to suggest one way of improving Blue Valley High School to make it a better place for students. Think about the changes that are needed at your school. Pick one change you feel would really make a difference and explain what it is and why you'd make the change.

Since I haven't been in this school that long I really don't know any changes that have to be made, I really don't.  I guess the thing I would say is to make the mobile homes inside and just extend the school out that much, because it will get annoying when it becomes winter to go out there.

What are your favorite apps on your phone or tablet? Why?
(If you don't have a smart phone or tablet, what are you favorite website you visit regularly.)

My favorite app on my phone is 9GAG because it is a website that people submit helpful or funny posts to and other people go through them and mark off which ones are acceptable to make it to the front page, and it is so popular, that there is a new post on the front page every minute or so and it can be very helpful at giving you life hacks or making you laugh at funny things and it is a great way to past the time. And it is also a website on the computer if you don't have a smart phone.

What is email? When do you use email in your own personal life? List reasons and ways that people use email. What do you know about "email etiquette"?

An email is like texting, but for computers and it is free and you have multiple websites to email from.  I never use email.  People email because it isn't instant like texting is so you don't interrupt a meeting or something.  People email with multiple websites, suck as Yahoo, MSN, Gmail, and more.  I have no idea what "email etiquette" is.
